Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has issued the following message about continuing school bus services:
‘Following the announcement from the Government that schools in England will shut from Friday 20th March except for the provision for key workers, TfGM has decided that it will continue to run tendered school services from Monday 23rd March until such time as we have a better understanding of the impact of changing demand on both schools services and the wider commercial network.
‘However, where we are informed by schools/colleges that they are going to fully close, services will be suspended. It is our intention to closely monitor demand from this period and adjust services where appropriate to best meet the needs of those essential users.’
