Two talented Year 11 students at Cheadle Hulme High School have gained places at the acclaimed National Youth Theatre. Ben Gilvear and Matt Law auditioned at The Royal Exchange in Manchester and say they are delighted to be accepted on such a prestigious course. They can now stay with the company until they are 25 years old.
Ben and Matt will be participating in a two week workshop for promising actors in London during the summer holiday. Both students have been active participants in the Performing Arts department over the last five years, often taking leading roles in CHHS productions and both are hoping to continue with A Level Drama in our Sixth Form next year.
Jake O’Connor, above, one of our former students, has also had incredible success, being offered places at four of the most prestigious drama schools in the country – East 15 in Essex, MMU, Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and Arts Educational where he received the highest points at audition!
Jake will be starting at Arts Ed in September and we look forward to hearing about his future success as an actor.
