As we close our doors for the summer holidays, it’s the perfect moment to reflect on an extraordinary year at Cheadle Hulme High School (CHHS).
From academic achievements to unforgettable experiences, our students have truly made the most of every opportunity.

Here are just some of the highlights that defined our year!

A Diplomatic Journey to Stonyhurst

In January, a group of ambitious students from Years 11 and 12 took a trip to Stonyhurst College to participate in the Model United Nations.

This event offered our students a unique opportunity to engage with world issues and sharpen their public speaking and critical thinking skills.

The group represented Malta with enthusiasm, and one of our students even received a commended delegate award!

CHHS comes alive with The Sound of Music

February saw the school hall transformed into the hills of Austria with our stunning production of The Sound of Music.

The dedication and talent of our students shone through, and audiences were treated to three nights of unforgettable performances.

This beloved musical brought the school community together, showcasing the incredible talent and hard work of our students both on stage and behind the scenes.

Well done once again to our cast, musicians, crew and everyone involved!

A Year of Adventure!

Our students embraced the spirit of adventure with a series of international trips that broadened their horizons and enriched their learning experiences.

Highlights included an action-packed ski trip to Italy, an exciting Sixth Form trip to Berlin, an unforgettable journey to Iceland, and recent language immersion trips to Spain, France, and Germany.

These excursions took students’ learning beyond the classroom, strengthened language skills, and created memories that will last a lifetime!

An Inspiring Visit from Alan Mak

In May, we had the pleasure of welcoming Alan Mak, MP, to our school as part of the Speakers for Schools Programme. Alan spoke to Year 10 and 12 students about life as a Member of Parliament and gave practical careers advice.

He said: “Cheadle Hulme High School’s students were bright, engaging and keen to hear about ways they could contribute to public life and the future of the country.”

His visit was a source of inspiration, encouraging our students to set ambitious goals and strive for excellence in all that they do!

Your 2024 House Cup Winners Are….

Last week, we saw the return of the highly anticipated House Cup Assembly.

It was a fantastic afternoon of celebrations and a delight to see everyone representing their Houses in their House colours.

Congratulations to Fortius, your winners of the House Cup 2024!

Thank you to everyone who supported the event, to all students for their involvement throughout the year, and to Music and the Year 12 band for providing the entertainment!
